On-site, full-time opportunity for Assistant Early Years (Pre-Primary) Homeroom Teachers to join energetic classroom teams and support daily learning routines.

Assistant Early Years (Pre-Primary) Homeroom Teacher On-site, Bangalore

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the lead homeroom teacher to plan and deliver daily pre-primary lessons that follow play-based and developmentally appropriate pedagogy.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment; manage routines, transitions and learning materials for 36 year olds.
  • Deliver small-group and whole-class activities focused on language, numeracy, socio-emotional skills and fine-motor development.
  • Observe children regularly, record formative assessment notes and contribute to individualized learning plans and progress reports.
  • Partner with parents through timely updates, classroom events and goal-setting conversations to reinforce learning at home.
  • Assist with classroom setup, resource preparation, hygiene & safety practices and supervision during school hours and activities.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education / Early Years Pedagogy or equivalent recognised training.
  • Practical experience working with pre-primary children in a classroom or daycare setting.
  • Strong understanding of play-based learning, lesson planning and age-appropriate assessment methods.
  • Ability to manage classroom routines, behaviour guidance and basic first-aid response for young children.
  • Effective parent engagement and written observation-recording skills for progress tracking.

Preferred

  • Montessori or Reggio Emilia exposure or certification.
  • Training in phonics instruction, early numeracy interventions or specialised early-years assessment tools.
  • Previous experience in an international or progressive preschool curriculum.
