Role Description

The Assistant Officer will support operational and administrative duties critical to the success of the consulting firm. Responsibilities include assisting with risk governance processes, preparing compliance documentation, conducting data analysis, coordinating with teams for process improvements, and managing communication with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to the development of tailored reports for clients and supporting strategic projects. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mumbai, offering the flexibility of some work-from-home opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Support

  • Support consulting teams on live assignments across operations, process transformation, risk, compliance, and audit support.
  • Conduct and document process walkthroughs with bank teams, capture requirements, and prepare structured notes and summaries.
  • Assistin interviews and discussions with bank associates for project studies and diagnostic exercises.

Documentation and Process Design

  • Prepare SOPs, walkthrough documents, process flows, and basicswimlanesin PowerPoint and Word.
  • Maintain version control and ensuredocumentationquality, completeness, and consistency across deliverables.

Data and MIS Support

  • Support basic data collation, validation, and reporting in Excel for project trackers, issue logs, and dashboards.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords, trackers, and repositories as required by the engagement team.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in data analysis, report preparation, and operational support for effective risk governance and compliance activities.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools, and familiarity with financial services or BFSI-related regulatory environments is a plus.
  • Educational background in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred

AI-enabled Productivity

  • Use GenAI tools to speed up drafting, summarization, formatting, and checklist creation, with strong human review to ensure correctness and client-ready quality.
  • Apply AI safely for internal productivity (no sensitive client data input unless explicitly approved and governed)

Required Skills

  • Strongproficiencyin MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with attention to detail and high ownership for accuracy.
  • Comfort with structured documentation, process thinking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for business productivity (prompting, summarizing, formatting, first-draft creation)

Learning and Growth

  • Direct exposure to banking consulting engagements and structured mentorship from senior practitioners.
  • Hands-on learning in process documentation, risk and compliance basics, and client-ready communication.
