Assistant Merchandiser (contractual)

Zara Home Assistant Merchandising Role

• Product development-

Collaborate with design and product development teams to conceptualize and create innovative textile or hardgoods collections.

• Sourcing New Suppliers-

Identify and source new suppliers and manufacturers that meet sustainability, quality compliance and cost standards.

• Evaluate Capacities

Evaluate capacities at factories and manufacturing techniques for best recommendation of factories & also work to reducing lead times.

• Price negotiations

Analyse cost structures and negotiate competitive pricing without compromising quality.

• Vendor follow up on Sampling + productions-

Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.

Oversee the entire order lifecycle, from product sampling and development to production and on timely deliveries.

Quality control

• Follow up with suppliers on proto, PP, TOP sample approval process and quality to adhere strictly to established quality standards.
• Organize pre-production meetings with suppliers and factories to emphasize on quality standards and problem solve with quality teams at factories and India quality controller on any quality challenges foreseen in productions.
• Frequent visits to factories to be made to review progress on productions and quality checks .
