Role Summary

The Assistant Manager Talent Acquisition will play a critical role in building high-quality teams at Ugaoo during this phase of rapid growth. The role will drive end-to-end recruitment across multiple business functions, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify, attract, and onboard the right talent.

Beyond managing the hiring process, this role will focus on strengthening talent pipelines, improving recruitment efficiency, and ensuring a strong candidate experience that reflects Ugaoo's culture and brand.

This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of hiring outcomes, and is passionate about building teams that enable the organization to scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management for assigned roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and align on hiring timelines
  • Conduct initial screening and evaluation of candidates to assess role fit, cultural alignment, and motivation

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through multiple sourcing channels including Naukri, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking
  • Identify passive candidates and engage them through targeted outreach
  • Support campus hiring initiatives and develop relationships with relevant institutes

Stakeholder & Process Management

  • Coordinate interviews with internal stakeholders and ensure timely feedback and decision-making
  • Drive structured hiring processes to ensure speed, consistency, and quality in recruitment
  • Maintain recruitment trackers and ensure accurate updates in the applicant tracking system

Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives including campus engagement, hiring campaigns, and social media presence
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Ugaoo while interacting with potential candidates

Recruitment Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, sourcing efficiency, and offer conversions
  • Work with the HR team to continuously improve hiring processes and recruitment strategies
  • Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment
  • Experience hiring across multiple functions in a startup, consumer brand, or high-growth environment
  • Strong sourcing capabilities across job portals, professional networks, and referrals
  • Ability to manage multiple hiring mandates simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of ownership, organization, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
