Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects with accurate and compliant quality documentation.
  • Work on new ideas for automation of documentation and other internal process.
  • Ensure all supplier quality documentation is uploaded on time, preventing escalations and project delays.
  • Establish and follow robust SOPs, control plans, and work instructions to ensure consistent output.
  • Focus on right-first-time manufacturing through Poka-Yoke, process capability studies, and preventive controls.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to reduce waste, variation, and cycle time.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications through in-process inspections, final quality checks, and validation activities.
  • Use quality metrics, dashboards, and trend analysis to drive proactive actions.
  • Review the Customer quality contractual requirements and suggest suitable modifications.
  • Collate and evaluate all the quality document from supplier as per acceptable reference standard and submit to customer on time.
  • Ensure operators are trained, certified, and competent for critical manufacturing operations.
  • Issue Material Dispatch Clearance Certificates (MDCC) after verifying compliance data and maintain systematic records of all shipment documentation.
  • Act as the coordinator for supplier quality documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and continuous improvement of documentation processes.
  • Visit to site for critical quality issues and gather data for root cause analysis and derive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct Supplier Qualification Audit for new supplier as per defined process.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the site performance indicators by identifying quality issues and ways to reduce waste.
  • Perform periodic process audit at supplier and close all non-conformities by working with suppliers.
  • Support the Quality Managers to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.
  • Issue Material dispatch clearance certificate (MDCC) to supplier after verifying the data and keep record of all the shipment documents in system.
  • Be part of sustainable engineering team to evaluate new requirements by collecting data from VOC, best practices in market etc.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Willing to travel to project sites, customer locations, and supplier facilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Total 6-8 years of experience in Quality Management and Supplier Quality
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt certified and and QMS internal auditor.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why analysis, SPC, Pareto analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and process automation initiatives.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize activities effectively based on changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and apply new knowledge for continuous process improvement.
  • Willing to learn and adapt the learning for process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
