We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Assistant Manager SEO to join our dynamic digital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our SEO strategy across multiple platforms to increase organic traffic, improve SERP rankings, and drive audience growth. Experience in the news/media industry and knowledge of ASO will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies to improve website visibility.
- Conduct detailed keyword research, SEO audits, and competitor analysis to inform content and optimization plans.
- Collaborate with content, tech, and product teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in development and editorial workflows.
- Optimize content for Google Discover, AMP pages, and ensure mobile-friendliness and page speed compliance.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and similar platforms.
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, schema implementation, and industry trends.
- Report regularly on performance metrics and make strategic recommendations based on insights.
- Provide support in App Store Optimization (ASO) and mobile SEO strategies.
- Contribute to content planning and user experience improvement initiatives with a focus on organic reach.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in a news/media house.
- Strong hands-on expertise in tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms, especially WordPress.
- Good understanding of HTML, structured data (schema), and technical SEO.
- Knowledge of mobile-first indexing, core web vitals, and mobile optimization strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Exposure to ASO (App Store Optimization) will be a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, IT, or related field.
