Job Purpose: Officer - Security is responsible for executing security operations in alignment with the security strategy. This role involves supporting risk assessments, implementing mitigation measures, conducting patrols, managing access control, and ensuring the protection of assets to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Roles and Responsibilities :-
Strategy Initiatives
- Engage with the field officers and site management to understand their security technology requirements and provide inputs to Business/ Group technology team
Security Budgeting
- Assist in finalizing the cost estimate of the proposed projects
- Support in monitoring adherence to project budgets; Escalate budget overruns/ deficit, if any
Security Technology & Automation :-
Research & Innovation
- Stay abreast with the new trends, latest technologies, and advanced automation systems, applications and equipment
- Actively generate innovative technology solutions which can be applied to the operating context of Adani
Systems Management
- Support in driving organisation-wide diagnostic tests to understand the maturity of security processes and systems and identifying technological interventions to drive process excellence
- Assist in preparing design documents for the systems and procurement of the required equipment and applications, Check for integration with existing systems
- Gather site/ business specific requirements and assist in finalizing the Security systems (like Genetec, CCTV, ACS, Barriers, etc.) and Network equipment basis the same
- Maintain server, system, application and network equipment in compliance and keep up to date.
- Coordination with IT Team to conduct vulnerability assessment of security devices e.g. Servers, switches workstations, application and mitigation.
- Provide troubleshooting support to IT team & Operation Centre for quick closure of Security systems related problems
Security Applications Data Management
- Oversee the master database of the various applications and systems
- Record the updates made to the database appropriately
Project Management
- Support the Head/Project Manager during the various phases of the project (product testing, analysis, fitment, implementation); Ensure adherence to the project governance framework
- Design network architecture and integration with existing infrastructure
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project at the site-level
- Execute the project as per OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) Life Saving Safety Rules and guidelines.
- Prepare project status report.
- Assist in the rollout of the training sessions on new technology to ensure seamless adoption
Partner Management
- Track partner performance basis instructions from senior management and escalate deviations
- Cultivate strategic relationships with partners and effectively leverage them for value additions to Adani
Key Interactions

- Collaborate with corporate technology team and site teams to drive the execution of the technology projects
- Collaborate with the Automation partners to drive the execution of the automation project as per the project plan
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or relevant field
- Preferable to have Certifications including Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL) , Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA), Server Certificate, Information Technology Security Certificate.
Experiences
- Between 6 to 8 years of work experience with minimum 4 years in a similar role as part of a technology team providing support in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems, security equipment and applications
- Hands-on experience with Security systems devices, software/application, databases, Network technology and applications related to Electronic Security System.
- Hands-on experience with Genetec VMS, Database integration preferable SQL, Application roles, Commissioning of Security devices, Understanding of Cisco switches and Network scheme. Able to configure network switches related Ports, VLANs, routing, etc.
- Demonstrate experience with process automation techniques, server, storage management, IT network management, access control system and surveillance system.
- Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders internal as well as external
