Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to the thermal power plant's unique operational risks and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage the security team, including training, performance evaluation, and motivation to ensure high standards of vigilance and professionalism.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and emergency services to maintain compliance and enhance response readiness.
  • Oversee access control systems, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems to ensure robust physical security.
  • Design and supervise emergency response plans, including drills for fire, natural disasters, sabotage, and other security-related incidents.
  • Ensure the protection of critical infrastructure, including control rooms, fuel storage, and power distribution units, through effective security deployment.
  • Monitor security incidents, investigate breaches, and prepare detailed incident reports for senior management review.
  • Manage security budgets, procurement of security equipment, and contracts with third-party security vendors to optimize resources.
  • Drive awareness programs and campaigns to inculcate a culture of safety and security awareness among all employees and contractors.
  • Implement cybersecurity collaboration strategies with IT teams to protect against cyber threats impacting operational technology and critical assets.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment, aligning with Adani's values of diversity, equity, and sustainable development.
  • Continuously stay updated on emerging security technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to maintain best-in-class security practices.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings to align security objectives with overall business goals and support operational continuity.
  • Champion ethical conduct and ensure all security practices comply with legal, environmental, and corporate governance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant advanced certifications preferred.
