Why This Role Matters
This role supports GoKwik's merchant growth and monetisation initiatives, working closely with D2C brands to drive adoption of GoKwik's checkout, conversion, and retention solutions. The role involves engaging with founders, finance, and growth teams at merchant organisations to position GoKwik as a strategic growth partner. As Assistant Manager Sales, you will own merchant acquisition and activation, drive solution adoption, and work cross-functionally with internal product, ops, and risk teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term value creation for merchants.
What You'll Own
Merchant Acquisition & Lead Management
- Drive solution adoption through inbound leads and targeted outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
- Build and prioritise a pipeline of D2C brands aligned with GoKwik's offerings
Discovery & Qualification
- Understand merchant business models, ticket sizes, customer cohorts, and conversion challenges
- Identify the right solutions and use cases based on merchant needs
Deal Ownership & Closures
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for SMB and mid-market merchants, from first discussion to go-live
- Close commercial terms in line with internal guidelines and approvals
Solutioning & Demos
- Conduct structured demos explaining GoKwik's products, workflows, and merchant impact
- Clearly articulate value proposition, integrations, and operational processes
Pipeline & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene, tracking deal stages, documentation, and follow-ups
- Coordinate with product, ops, and partner teams for smooth onboarding and activation
Market Expansion
- Identify high-potential categories and use cases across D2C, marketplaces, and emerging merchant segments
Who You Are
- 25 years of experience in fintech, SaaS, payments, or B2B sales
- Strong understanding of eCommerce, merchant ecosystems, or digital products
- Comfortable with consultative, solution-led selling
- Ability to manage deals independently while working cross-functionally
- Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Detail-oriented with disciplined CRM and documentation practices
- Execution-focused and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
