Assistant Manager Sales Consumer Promotions and Loyalty Solutions

Job Description

Based in India, as Sales Assistant Manager you will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities.

You will have complete responsibility for your customer relationships and will be held accountable for total account sales, margins and overall relationship status. Reviewing micro market analyses, you will determine customer needs, sales volume potential, and pricing schedules that will meet the company's goals. Other responsibilities include

Engage prospective clients through outreach and networking, leveraging strong industry connections

Manage the complete sales cyclefrom lead generation to deal closure, achieving quarterly and annual sales targets

Drive growth through new client acquisition, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives

Conduct detailed market analysis and client research to tailor pitches and proposals that address client needs

Deliver customized proposals and pitch decks in collaboration with internal teams

Network across industry events and platforms to consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline of warm leads

Work with marketing to develop sales materials, case studies, and success stories

Negotiate complex deals with multiple decision-makers, ensuring margin optimization and long-term partnerships

Travel domestically up to 50% to meet with clients and prospects as needed

Qualifications & Characteristics

A highly reliable individual with enthusiasm, service orientation, and attention to detail is required, combined with excellent organization and communication skills. You will have these qualifications:

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce; an MBA in Marketing will be a strong advantage.

Brings 4+ years of proven success in consultative sales, with a strong record in promoting and closing high-value deals.

Skilled in identifying and targeting new clients to expand the company's B2B customer (targeting large corporates only) base.

Demonstrated ability to manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to deal closure.

Prior experience working with key decision-makers in FMCG/FMCD sectors is preferred.

Adept at managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles.

Strong negotiation skills, particularly in pricing discussions for customized or multi-component offerings.

Confident in developing sales presentations, proposals, and delivering pitches in both small and large settings.

Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% for client meetings, events, and on-site engagements.

Basic understanding of the FMCG market landscape, including key players, distribution channels, and relevant government bodies that influence product authenticity and consumer safety.

Industry experience in loyalty programs, brand rewards, or consumer engagement solutions is a significant plus.
