Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is one of the fastest growing companies who has vision to solve social issues regarding energy, environment, resource, etc with producing lithium-ion battery products. Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India's first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Industrial Safety in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company's goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.

Job Location: Devanahalli, Bangalore

Job Overview:

The Assistant Manager – Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) systems across lithium-ion cell and battery manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, and mitigates risks associated with hazardous materials, chemical handling, and high-energy processes inherent to lithium-ion manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and client-specific EHS requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments, job safety analysis, and machine safety buyoff activities
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
  • Organize and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for all project staff and contractors
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and ensure timely closure of findings
  • Maintain all EHS documentation, statutory records, and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities
  • Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through proactive initiatives and monitoring of KPIs
  • Oversee contractor safety management and ensure compliance with site safety standards
  • Ensure timely procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and PPE

Education:

M.E./M.Tech./B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Safety or equivalent; Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred

Experience:

  • 5 – 10 Years in EHS : 4 years in automobile / Contractor safety Management / relevant experience
  • Professional EHS certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent
