Reporting to - Manager - Safety

Job Description

Liaison with Govt. authorities like DISH, MPCB, Corporation and MIDC for Safety, Health &

Environmental matters.

Support the development of OHS policies and programs.

Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.

Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.

Initiate and organize OHS training of existing employees as well as new joinees.

Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using

protective equipment).

Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

Ensuring 100% compliance of legal requirement with respect to Safety, Health & Environment.

Investigation & analyzing all near miss, dangerous occurrences, incidents, accidents and

suggesting corrective & counter measures based on available facts.

Ensuring the smooth functioning of hazard and incident identification process and monitor actions

on it.

Executing / supporting the on-site emergency plan and allotted the responsibility of respective.

individual in case of emergency. Conducting the mock drills & initiating action on CAPA.

Ensuring accurate documentation for necessary permits & applications.

Support to develop safety culture & coordinate with cross function departments to build stronger

safety culture at factory.

Candidate Profile

Qualification

Bachelor's degree / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical) + Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene or

related field highly preferred [Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety]

Experience

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5+ years of

post-safety qualification experience in safety function.
