PurposeTo provide financial insights and analytical support to business operations by driving performance metrics, evaluating commercial decisions, preparing budgets and forecasts, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance profitability and cost efficiency. The role will focus on delivering high-quality financial analysis, business partnering, and reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.

- KPI Management: Drive and monitor business KPIs across functions including Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams. Identify performance gaps and collaborate on improvement actions.
- Business Proposal Evaluation: Evaluate financial viability of new business proposals for different geography, R&D projects cost evaluation, Capex proposal at R&D center or plant etc.
- CMO Operations: Monthly / quarterly reconciliation of CMO inventory and invoice verification for P2P cost details and yield monitoring + recovery for yield differences and failed batches. Inventory control & annual reconciliation for input price movements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process in collaboration with department heads. Plant level, cost driver wise zero base budgeting and monitoring the cost at cost driver level.
- Cost Optimization: Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities at plant for yield, CMO cost, R&D project cost MOQs, Freight savings, Procurement efficiency etc., track benefits of these initiatives, and validate cost reduction plans proposed by user departments.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing/Plant, and Commercial) for financial support in vendor selection, vendor recoveries for quality issues / other rejections, commercial negotiations, Inventory obsolesce minimisation with close coordination with planning as well as procurement, Inventory days holding monitoring, operational efficiency tracking with cost details etc.
- MIS & Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely and insightful management reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and commentary to drive decision-making.
- Strategic Projects: Support key strategic projects including automation of different business process within SAP or with different tools, and implementation of financial controls within ERP.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
- Chartered Accountant
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
- Experience of working in Pharma /Manufacturing
- Exposure to global business operations or multi-plant environments would be an advantage
