Job Description
- Lead and standardize QA best practices across all manufacturing plants.
- Align plant QA activities with organizational quality strategy and quality policy.
- Develop, update, and implement QA policies, procedures, and standard operating practices across all the plant.
- Partner with Head Office QA HOD in setting quality goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
- Ensure consistent application and compliance to global standards such as ISO, GMP, or industry-specific norms.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA systems aligned to business objectives.
- Review and evaluate Manufacturing QA operations from each plant.
- Monitor quality outcomes, CoPQ Improvement, deviation reports, CAPA status, audit findings, and compliance performance.
- Coordinate periodic reviews and cross-plant quality forums.
- Drive deployment and usage of modern quality methodologies including:
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or 8D
- Six Sigma tools
- Lean principles
- Ensure standardized quality measurement, data-driven decisions, and KPIs across plants.
- Assess skills and competencies of plant manufacturing QA team.
- Plan and facilitate targeted training (internal and external) in quality tools and processes.
- Mentor QA staff to build high-performing, self-sufficient QA teams.
- Able to develop / build leaders pipeline leaders through work delegation, Sharing of Best Practice
- Collaborate with Plant Heads, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to ensure product quality integration.
- Facilitate cross-plant alignment for quality initiatives.
- Track non-conformance metrics, product quality indicators, audit results.
- Report performance trends to QA HoD for decision making.
Candidate Profile
- Should have minimum 8 - 12 years of experience in Process, Supplier & Customer Quality Assurance.
- Qualification: B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering
- Through knowledge on various manufacturing process like sheet metal stamping, High pressure die casting, Assembly process, Plastic moulding & Various surface finishing process.
- Expertise in Quality tools and techniques
- ISO 9001 :2015 Internal certified auditor & Lean six sigma Black /Green belt certification will be advantage.
- Excellent CFT coordination skill, ability to resolve CFT conflict on time.
