Role Overview
Role Overview and Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Owner Scheduler / Planning Engineer with strong expertise in project scheduling, stakeholder management, and coordination in large, complex capital programs. The Owner Scheduler is responsible for providing independent schedule oversight and assurance across the program ensuring contractor's schedules are executable, integrated and aligned with Owner's requirements. There will be also be direct responsibility for the development and management of schedules for some owner performed scopes.
The ideal candidate will have will have advanced Primavera P6 capability as well as excellent planning and schedule reporting skills, and the ability to drive schedule management in a complex construction project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Owner's Integrated Program Schedule including L1/L2/L3 Milestones and key program interfaces
- Provide independent challenge of Contractor's L3/L4 Schedules
- Interface Milestone identification and montiorting
- Develop, maintain and progress schedules for Owner direct performed scopes such as Tool Hook Up and ensure full integration with the overall program schedule
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, procurement, and management teams to ensure project schedules remain aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide timely schedule updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare schedule performance reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Analyze critical paths, resource constraints, and project risks impacting timelines.
- Ensure schedule integrity through regular updates, forecasting, and change management processes.
- Support project controls activities, including planning, reporting, and schedule optimization.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-8+ years of experience in project scheduling, planning, project controls, or project coordination.
- Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience within an Owner/PMC environment with a strong understanding of Owner, PMC, EPC/GC and contractor planning responsibilities is an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including dashboards, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Preferred Experience- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, EPC, construction, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to project controls, risk management, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, or project reporting tools.
- PMP, Primavera P6 Certification, or related project management certifications will be an advantage.
