Supervise and coordinate the installation of HVAC systems onboard ships (including ducting, chillers, air handling units, ventilation systems, etc.).
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
Collaborate with design, planning, and procurement teams to ensure HVAC components are delivered and installed per schedule.
Conduct inspections and quality control of HVAC installations.
Resolve technical issues arising during installation, ensuring compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and classification society standards.
Support commissioning activities and perform system testing.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance in all HVAC-related production activities.
Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and classification surveyors.
Provide technical support to production teams and participate in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.
Skills:
Proficiency in reading HVAC and P&ID drawings.
Knowledge of marine HVAC systems and applicable standards.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with shipbuilding processes and production workflows.
Certifications (optional but preferred):
HVAC system certifications
Familiarity with ISO standards and classification society rules (DNV, ABS, etc.)
