Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor Formation to support EV lithium-ion cell manufacturing operations at our Gigafactory in Sanand. The role will be responsible for Formation zone production, shift operations, team management, and achieving SQDC manufacturing targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shift production operations in the Formation zone of the EV battery manufacturing line.
- Lead a team of 10-20 operators and technicians to achieve production targets.
- Monitor production throughput, quality, safety, and compliance.
- Handle production abnormalities, NG products, and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement using problem-solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, 7 QC Tools).
- Ensure SOP, work instructions, and process compliance.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and Process Engineering teams.
- Ensure 5S, autonomous maintenance, and safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain production data in MES / SAP systems.
Required Skills
- Experience in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing / EV battery manufacturing / Solar cell manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Formation processes: Electrolyte Injection, HT Baking, Ageing, Laser Welding, EOL Testing.
- Experience in production supervision, shift management, and team handling.
- Strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, and manufacturing quality systems.
Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech – Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Six Sigma certification preferred
