Job Description

Role Overview

  • The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for managing procurement activities for project materials and services, ensuring timely sourcing, cost optimization, supplier management, and compliance with organizational procurement policies. The role requires strong exposure to project procurement within EPC, infrastructure, construction, or industrial sectors, along with the ability to manage supplier relationships and procurement risks.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the purchasing strategy and manages his product ranges / lots of purchases, in terms of contract, financials and planning.
  • Perform activities of purchasing materials, deadlines, and quality analysis, compare suppliers and payment terms, and monitor the delivery flow.
  • Send enquiries to the market and compare suppliers answers.
  • Basis Understanding of SAP MM Module.
  • Negotiate and commits to purchases of goods and services, in accordance with the set objectives.
  • Deals exclusively with the supplier relationship (sourcing, evaluation, claims), and ensures interface with internal and external client.
  • Ensures that procedures, rules, and local standards are applied.
  • Maximizes Suez added value within the supply chain to the client.
  • Analyze specifications, schedule, quality, and contractual terms.
  • Coordinate his action and commitments with categories managers and procurement group policy.
  • Capacity to prepare inquiries, manage costs and monitor internal and external contracts.
  • Identify and manage procurement risks and opportunities and ensure that suppliers are qualified.
  • Monitor the allocated spends and savings.
  • Responsible for the complete Purchase Order execution from the purchasing to the complete close out of the P.O. (including supplier payment and delivery on time)
  • Respects all Group standard policies (H&S, Environment, Ethics) and compliance with internal reporting rules.

Preferred candidate profile:-

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 510 years of relevant experience in procurement within EPC, Infrastructure, Construction, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, or Power project environments.
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience in procurement of civil construction materials, heavy equipment, subcontractor management, and project-related procurement activities.
  • Experience in vendor sourcing, RFQ management, commercial negotiations, and end-to-end purchase order execution will be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (preferably SAP MM module) is required.
