Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Quotation & Cost Analysis
- Analyze supplier quotations for ECUs, wiring harnesses, switches, Body Controller Units, DC-DC converters, and infotainment systems.
- Perform cost breakdowns and should-cost modeling to validate materials, labor, overhead, and margins.
- Support sourcing teams with fact-based inputs for supplier selection and contract negotiations.
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Conduct market checks and benchmark analyses to ensure cost competitiveness.
- Maintain cost databases, price trend reports, and commodity cost benchmarks.
- Collaborate with engineering to validate cost drivers and design specifications.
Capacity Management & Forecasting
- Collect and validate supplier capacity data for semiconductors and electronics commodities.
- Align supplier capacities with MBAG demand forecasts and production schedules.
- Conduct scenario planning to identify bottlenecks, shortages, or overcapacity risks.
Supplier Collaboration & Risk Mitigation
- Engage suppliers to validate short- and long-term capacity commitments.
- Identify potential risks in supply and capacity; propose mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, buffer planning).
- Ensure transparency and consistency in cost and capacity assessments.
Reporting & KPI Tracking
- Track and report key metrics related to cost competitiveness, benchmark adherence, supplier capacity, utilization, and delivery reliability.
- Develop dashboards to provide actionable insights to management and sourcing teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, finance, quality, and planning teams.
- Support contract discussions with data on supplier capabilities and potential bottlenecks.
