PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role is responsible for driving end-to-end PCB design activities, including schematic capture, board layout, component placement, routing, and design validation. The position ensures the timely delivery of accurate, high quality PCB manufacturing data packages that meet project requirements and support ongoing R&D initiatives
Functional / Technical Expertise
- PCB Design Expertise Hands-on experience in designing multilayer PCBs using industry-standard tools such as Pads Professional, Mentor Graphics, and Altium Designer. Skilled in schematic capture, component placement, routing, design rule checks (DRC), and ensuring signal integrity and manufacturability.
- Manufacturing Documentation & Output Files Proficient in generating Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PCB Assembly Drawings. Capable of preparing complete fabrication and assembly documentation packages that comply with industry standards and vendor requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Complete PCB schematic capture, layout, and routing for R&D projects.
- Manage component footprint libraries and maintain design templates.
- Generate detailed manufacturing data packages, including Gerber files and panelization data.
- Conduct design reviews and perform error checks to ensure manufacturability.
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers to resolve PCB structural issues.
- Maintain and update design checklists at each stage of the design process.
- Troubleshoot PCB manufacturing issues as they arise.
