Assistant Manager-Payroll

Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager-Payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in payroll management and be well-versed in Indian labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire payroll process, including data entry, processing, and distribution of paychecks
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, employment regulations, and labor laws
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime
• Process employee benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses
• Prepare reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends and potential issues
• Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in an Indian context
• In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations
• Experience with payroll software and systems, such as SAP or Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
