Role Charter AM Onboarding

Role Overview

As the AM Onboarding, you will own the responsibility of delivering a world-class onboarding experience for D2C brands partnering with ShopDeck.

Your mission is to accelerate activation, reduce time-to-value (TTV), and ensure seamless go-lives across our ecosystem. You will lead a team of onboarding specialists and implementation executives while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive customer delight from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution

Build and scale a structured onboarding framework that supports merchants across all stagesfrom early-stage D2C brands to fast-growing enterprises.

  • Merchant Activation

Drive initiatives to reduce onboarding time, boost platform adoption, and ensure smooth go-lives across:

  • Storefront
  • Integrations
  • Fulfillment
  • Analytics
  • Team Leadership

Hire, train, and manage a high-performing onboarding team focused on execution excellence, empathy, and merchant success.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Product, Growth, Fulfillment, and Support to deliver a consistent and unified merchant experience.

  • Playbook & Process Creation

Standardize Onboarding Journeys Using

  • Checklists
  • Templates
  • Product walkthroughs
  • Self-serve learning resources
  • Customer-Centric Culture

Be the voice of new merchantsidentify friction points, collect feedback, and collaborate with Product to proactively address gaps.

  • Metrics & Reporting

Define, Track, And Report Key Onboarding KPIs Such As

  • Activation Rate
  • Time-to-Value (TTV)
  • Early-stage churn
  • CSAT / NPS

Share insights with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • 26 years of experience in onboarding, customer success, or implementation, preferably in SaaS, eCommerce, or D2C.
  • Experience leading teams or building onboarding journeys from scratch or at scale.
  • Strong understanding of D2C operations: storefront setup, integrations (payment, shipping, CRM), analytics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on outcomes and business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Indian D2C brands or eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience with automation / no-code platforms for seller workflows.
