Role Summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an experienced NDT professional for the role of Assistant Manager NDT at its Hazira facility. The position involves execution and coordination of Non Destructive Examination activities for pressure vessels and critical components, with a strong focus on Ultrasonic Testing and advanced UT techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Ultrasonic Testing of welds for pressure vessels and other critical components

Execute Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection

Review and support Radiographic Testing including film and technique review

Prepare inspection reports procedures technique sheets and calibration block drawings

Plan and coordinate overall NDE activities for assigned projects

Ensure compliance with ASME codes standards and customer specifications

Coordinate with customers third party inspectors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant NDT experience may be considered

4 to 6 years of hands on experience in NDT

UT and RT Level II certification is mandatory

Strong exposure to pressure vessel manufacturing and inspection

Preferred Skills

Experience in Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection

Knowledge of TOFD

NDT Level III certification
