Job Title: Assistant Manager Logistics

Job Purpose: To lead and manage the logistics operations team, ensuring efficient performance in courier partner management, NDR handling, TAT compliance, invoice reconciliation, and reporting. The Manager Logistics Operations will oversee team members like Team leads or Executives (drive operational improvements, ensure SLA adherence, and implement strategic logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Performance Management
- Lead and supervise logistics operations and Executives.
- Set clear goals and KPIs in line with company strategy; monitor progress and guide team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team for development and training.
Courier Partner & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee courier partner performance, ensuring monthly and consolidated reports are prepared and reviewed.
- Maintain high delivery success rates by managing escalations, Non-Delivery Reports (NDRs), and stuck shipments effectively.
- Evaluate and onboard new courier partners, ensuring alignment with cost and performance benchmarks.
Finance & Reconciliation Oversight
- Supervise invoice processing, freight reconciliation, and dispute management.
- Ensure timely approval, forwarding to accounts, and COD remittance tracking.
- Collaborate with Finance for compliance with SLAs and audit readiness.
Reporting & Analysis
- Review and validate courier performance and logistics efficiency reports prepared by the team.
- Present consolidated operational performance data to senior management with improvement recommendations.
Requirements
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or B.Tech preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 34 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics software (WMS, TMS, ERP platforms such as Clickpost, Vinculum, SAP).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and reporting skills.
- Proven track record in SLA and vendor performance management.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
