Assistant Manager - Insurance
Position Summary
Looking for a dynamic individual skilled in managing and optimizing our insurance programs across all stages of renewable energy project lifecycles from development and construction to operations and maintenance.This individual will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through comprehensive insurance strategies, ensuring adequate coverage, and driving cost-effective solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of both insurance principles, and the specific risks associated with large-scale renewable energy projects.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Plan, assess and formalize the Insurance requirements for renewable energy plants further manage the adequate risk cover through insurance policies.
- Manage the renewal process for various insurance policies, including Industrial All Risks (IAR), Business Interruption, Marine Cargo, Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), Public Liability, Environmental Liability, Professional Indemnity, Terrorism and Cyber Insurance.
- Review and negotiate policy wordings, terms, and conditions with brokers and underwriters to ensure optimal coverage and competitive pricing, ensuring compliance with local and international insurance regulations and company policies.
- Negotiate and conclude Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing renewable energy projects, identifying potential exposures (e.g., natural catastrophes, equipment failure, technology risks, supply chain disruptions, political risks).
- Oversee, manage and expedite the end-to-end claims process, from initial reporting to settlement, for all types of insurance claims.
- Liaise effectively with brokers, adjusters, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and favorable claim resolution.
- Review project contracts, financing agreements, and other legal documents to ensure appropriate allocation of insurance responsibilities and compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate insurance considerations into project planning and execution.
- Conduct awareness sessions to stakeholders for insurance claims.
- Prepare and maintain the MIS for Policies and claims
