Job Purpose
The role is part of the Central Manufacturing Excellence (ME) – Centre of Excellence team and is responsible for driving instrumentation, automation, and process control excellence across manufacturing sites. The incumbent will support digitalization, process stability, and automation-led improvement initiatives across plants.
Responsibilities
Instrumentation, Automation & Digital Enablement
- Support greenfield and brownfield projects covering instrumentation systems, PLC, SCADA, DCS, and automation architecture
- Participate in design reviews, system configuration, installation, commissioning, and performance validation of automation systems
- Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, and EPC partners for automation-related CAPEX execution
- Support calibration programs, preventive maintenance, and standardization of instrumentation practices across plants
- Assist in implementation of digital solutions for data acquisition, dashboards, and process monitoring
Manufacturing Excellence & Process Improvement
- Support deployment of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement frameworks
- Assist in application of advanced Continuous improvement tools such as DOE, SPC, Data Stratification, Cause & Effect Matrix, and Process Capability Analysis
- Work with Production and Quality teams to improve process stability, yield, and product quality
- Support initiatives to improve automation uptime, control system reliability, and data accuracy
Data, Compliance & Governance
- Collect, analyze, and report process and automation KPIs
- Support structured reporting for Manufacturing Excellence and leadership reviews
- Ensure compliance with instrumentation safety standards, calibration norms, and audit requirements
- Support documentation, SOP development, and knowledge transfer to plant teams
Educational Qualification
BE / BTech – Instrumentation Engineering
