The company's core expertise spans large-scale UAV swarms, AI-enabled autonomous coordination, and persistent unmanned systems, all validated through rigorous operational deployment in real-world conflict environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inward Quality Assurance Electrical & Electronic Components

Oversee inward inspection and testing of electrical and electronic components, including:

  • RF cables, wire harnesses, connectors
  • Sensors, PCBs, power modules
  • Batteries, ESCs, motors, avionics, and UAV electronics

Ensure verification of incoming materials against:

  • Specifications, drawings, BOMs
  • Quality instructions, MSDS, CoC, and acceptance criteria
  • Approve and maintain Quality Test Plans (QTPs) and inspection checklists for electronic components.
  • Review and validate inspection activities such as:
  • Electrical continuity, insulation resistance
  • Functional testing, polarity checks
  • Voltage/current measurements and basic load tests
  • Ensure IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards are correctly applied during inspection.

2. Inward Quality Assurance Mechanical Components

Oversee inward inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies, including:

  • Machined components, sheet metal parts
  • Composite and CFRP components
  • Fasteners, brackets, housings, structural UAV parts

Ensure dimensional, visual, and functional inspections are carried out as per:

  • Engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Material specifications and surface finish requirements
  • Review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and ensure compliance with aerospace requirements.
  • Ensure proper segregation, tagging, and disposition of non-conforming mechanical materials.

3. Supplier Quality Management & Evaluation

Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, and periodic performance reviews for electrical, electronic, and mechanical suppliers.

Define and implement supplier quality metrics, including:

  • Incoming rejection rate
  • SCAR response effectiveness
  • Delivery and quality consistency
  • Conduct supplier audits (on-site or remote) aligned with AS9100D and company quality standards.
  • Support supplier capability assessment for:
  • Process maturity
  • Testing infrastructure
  • Quality management systems
  • Drive supplier improvement initiatives and monitor action plan effectiveness

4. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management

Own and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs):

  • Review non-conformance reports raised by the team
  • Ensure timely root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions

Coordinate with suppliers to:

  • Communicate quality issues clearly
  • Ensure corrective actions are effective and sustainable
  • Escalate chronic quality issues and propose risk mitigation or alternate sourcing strategies.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the quality focal point for CFT teams (Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program, Flight Ops).

Support:

  • Engineering changes and impact analysis on incoming materials
  • New supplier development and qualification

Provide quality inputs during new product introduction (NPI) and prototype builds.

6. Documentation, Compliance & Governance

Ensure maintenance of all inward quality documentation, including:

  • Inspection records and test reports
  • Supplier evaluation reports
  • SCAR logs and closure evidence

Ensure adherence to:

  • Company QA procedures
  • AS9100D requirements
  • Aerospace/UAV regulatory and customer requirements

Support internal, external, and customer audits related to inward and supplier quality.

7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

Guide and mentor Inward Quality Engineers and Inspectors.

  • Review inspection effectiveness and optimize processes to reduce rejections and escapes.
  • Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives in inward inspection and supplier quality processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering

Experience

  • 810 years of experience in Inward Quality / Supplier Quality within aerospace, UAV, or high-reliability electronics/mechanical manufacturing
  • Prior experience handling both electrical/electronic and mechanical inward quality is mandatory
  • Hands-on experience with supplier audits and SCAR management

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of:

  • Electrical and electronic components, test methods, and ESD practices
  • Mechanical drawings, GD&T, and material specifications

Working knowledge of:

  • IPC-A-610
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • AS9100D and aerospace quality processes

Familiarity with quality tools:

  • 8D
  • 5-Why
  • Fishbone
  • Pareto analysis
