JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Recruitment to lead and manage the end-to-end hiring process across functions. The role involves sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management to ensure timely closures and a smooth candidate experience. Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is mandatory, with preference for candidates from the building material industry. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills, hands-on experience in recruitment automation, and the ability to manage both white-collar and shopfloor hiring efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, from understanding manpower requirements to onboarding.
  • Close open positions within defined timelines (as per agreed SLA with business).
  • Sourcing candidates through multiple channels – job portals, social media, employee referrals, headhunting, and campus recruitment.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to define job specifications and ensure timely closures.
  • Ensure a smooth candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Ensure zero lapses in offer management, including negotiation, release, and acceptance tracking.
  • Drive hiring specific to the manufacturing sector.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles.
  • Enhance recruitment efficiency through automation tools and standardized processes.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly recruitment dashboards/MIS with insights on hiring status, TAT, and cost-per-hire.
  • Maintain compliance with labour laws and company hiring policies.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to forecast manpower requirements and proactively plan hiring.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Skills:

  • Strong ability to source and close niche roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workforce dynamics.
  • Proficiency in recruitment tools, ATS, Excel, and MIS reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple mandates and deliver within deadlines.
  • High ownership, result orientation, and negotiation skills.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Graduate / MBA in HR or equivalent.
  • 6–8 years of recruitment experience with at least 3-4 years in manufacturing sector (building materials preferred).
  • Prior experience in building material manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to handle employee queries professionally.
