Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities for the Banquet venues, Outdoor Catering (ODC), and Corporate Services across unit locations and Catering Collective corporate office This role is critical in ensuring the organization attracts, hires, and retains high-quality talent across frontline, mid-management, and leadership roles, aligned with business growth plans.
The incumbent will play a key role in building a structured, scalable, and data-driven hiring engine, while ensuring speed, quality, and cultural fit.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Planning
- Partner with business heads (Operations, Culinary, Sales, SCM, Corporate) to understand manpower plans and hiring forecasts
- Build monthly and quarterly hiring plans aligned to AOP and expansion roadmap
- Develop role-wise hiring strategies for different segments:
- Banquet Operations & Service Teams
- Culinary (Chefs, CDPs, Commis, R&D roles)
- Sales & Event Teams
- Corporate & Support Functions
- Casual & Temporary Workforce
2. End-to-End Recruitment Management
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle:
- Sourcing → Screening → Interviews → Offer → Onboarding
- Ensure TAT adherence and timely closure of positions
- Maintain a strong pipeline of ready-to-hire candidates for critical roles
- Drive bulk hiring for events, seasonal demand, and expansions
3. Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Build multi-channel sourcing strategies:
- Job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed)
- Social media hiring
- Industry referrals & networks
- Vendor partnerships (staffing agencies, manpower suppliers)
- Develop a strong database of chefs, service staff, and operations talent
- Identify and onboard reliable manpower vendors for casual staffing
4. Employer Branding & Talent Attraction
- Work with Marketing team to:
- Strengthen employer brand presence on LinkedIn & social platforms
- Showcase culture, employee stories, and growth opportunities
- Drive initiatives to position the organisation as an employer of choice in hospitality
5. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with:
- Venue Heads / GMs
- Executive Chefs
- Sales Leaders
- Corporate Function Heads
- Ensure clear understanding of role requirements, quality benchmarks, and timelines
- Conduct structured interview coordination and feedback loops
6. Data, MIS & Reporting
- Track and report key recruitment metrics:
- Time to Hire
- Cost per Hire
- Offer to Joining Ratio
- Source Effectiveness
- Attrition (new joiners)
- Build weekly and monthly hiring dashboards for leadership review
- Identify gaps and continuously improve hiring effectiveness
7. Process & Compliance
- Standardize recruitment processes across units
- Maintain compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
8. Onboarding & Experience
- Ensure smooth onboarding experience for all hires
- Coordinate with HR Ops and Admin for:
- Documentation
- Joining formalities
- First-day readiness
- Track new joiner retention and early attrition
9. Continuous Improvement
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements
- Introduce technology-driven solutions (ATS, automation tools)
- Build bench strength for critical roles
Key Deliverables (KPIs)
- Hiring TAT: Closure within defined timelines
- Quality of Hire: Performance & retention of new hires
- Offer to Joining Ratio: Target improvement month-on-month
- Cost Optimization: Efficient vendor and sourcing management
- Pipeline Strength: Ready database for key roles
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or MBA in Human Resources or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Engagement, and Employee Relations.
- Experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR survey tools.
