Region: Kerala & Karnataka

Business Unit: Swiggy Instamart

Mandate 1 Hybrid: Employees will work from the days at their base location and visit Warehouses/PODs (Dark Stores) regularly

About The Role

This role will serve as the end-to-end HRBP for warehouse and POD employees across Kerala and Karnataka, ensuring seamless people processes, strong compliance, high engagement, and issue-free operations on the ground.

The AM HRBP will work closely with business leaders, unit managers, and central HR teams to identify workforce issues, drive productivity initiatives, strengthen culture, and support the people lifecycle from hire to retire.

This is a high-ownership, field-heavy role requiring agility, empathy, and strong execution discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Partnership & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the HRBP for warehouse and POD employees across Kerala & Karnataka.
  • Partner with Regional / Cluster leadership on people priorities, workforce planning, productivity, and talent interventions.
  • Recommend timely actions on people issues, attendance challenges, grievances, and compliance matters.
  • Operational HR Excellence
  • Drive end-to-end HR processes including onboarding, confirmation, attendance, leave administration, time & shift management, and exit processes.
  • Be the custodian for UPL and Employee NPS for warehouse and POD employees.
  • Ensure strong governance of HR policies, compliance, and statutory requirements at all sites.
  • Employee Engagement & Experience
  • Execute engagement initiatives to improve belongingness, morale, and retention.
  • Run Rewards & Recognition (R&R) programs for on-ground employees.
  • Identify process improvements to elevate employee experience and recommend enhancements to HR and business leadership.
  • Grievance Management & ER
  • Act as the first point of contact for any employee grievances, ethical issues, or ground-level IR concerns.
  • Partner with the ER team to resolve issues amicably while ensuring smooth operations and compliance.
  • Maintain a strong pulse of workforce sentiment through site visits and employee interactions.
  • Capability Building & Talent Management
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate with L&D to deliver relevant training programs.
  • Support performance management and manager capability-building initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to unit managers on performance coaching, corrective actions, and workforce planning.
  • Process & Productivity Improvement
  • Utilize data and HR metrics to identify recurring issues and implement continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Standardize HR processes, define SLAs, and drive consistency across multiple sites.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to contractual workforce deployment, attendance, onboarding, and compliance.

Preferred Profile

  • 13 years of HRBP experience managing a distributed workforce (warehouses, retail, FMCG, e-commerce, logistics preferred).
  • Experience managing contractual workforce and frontline employees.
  • Strong understanding of on-ground HR operations, compliance, and engagement levers.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • MBA in HR preferred.
