We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ASSISTANT MANAGER GLOBAL OPERATION

Responsibilities

  • Global middle office operation team is responsible to ensure that positions and cash data is accurate for the business at the SOD for the Front Office. This will ensure that the Investment Management teams will have the most accurate data to invest.
  • Perform various functions fall under global operation team include transaction management, position management, Oversight management and Derivatives management.
  • 2 to 5 years experience in Reconciliations is mandatory and an understanding of the Asset management business is preferred.
  • Understanding of the various asset classes, underlying instruments is mandatory, and the trade life cycle needs to be exhibited
  • Managing proxy voting /Working with Stewardship team with the help of stake holders. .
  • Drive quality service and perform the middle office operations effectively.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements on processing control, quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure operations are in compliance regulatory requirements. Implement rectifications whenever necessary.
  • Front Office teams i.e traders, fund managers, portfolio managers and dealing team, middle office onshore will be primary beneficiaries of the process .

Qualifications

  • The role would require that adequate process training and regular feedback sessions to new joiners at Analyst level.
  • Cultivate an environment that supports diversity.
  • Lead and encourage constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
  • Candidate would require Bloomberg knowledge, processing of transactions.
  • Role would require sound knowledge asset management and capital market operations.
  • Demonstrating ability to self-improve and develop. Understand the impact of cash on upstream and downstream stakeholders
  • Ensure all governance related activities and functions are implemented and reviewed.
  • Ensure framework from an Operations risk perspective.
