Role Purpose -
Pine Labs is a leading fintech innovator, and Issuing & Credit+ is its second-largest and one of the fastest-growing business units. We are looking for a high-energy Assistant Manager FP&A to shape the financial strategy of this business. You will be responsible for financial insights, strengthening unit economics, and partnering with product, commercial, and operations leaders. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, startup-like environment and enjoys building structure in fast-scaling businesses.
The responsibilities we entrust you with -
- Responsible to influence strategy, financial planning, and business performance.
- Act as the strategic finance partner to business leadership - own planning, forecasting, management reviews, and performance visibility.
- Build and maintain management reports (financials, revenue flows, expense tracking, dashboards) and lead budgeting/forecasting cycles.
- Provide deep insights into actual performance including variance analysis, KPI trends, profitability metrics, and business drivers.
- Drive visibility into revenue and cost metrics; collaborate cross-functionally to enhance revenue and optimize cost structures.
- Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operating rhythms with insight-led narratives for leadership.
- Analyze trends across KPIs - sales, margins, expenditures, and unit economics - and recommend gap closers to achieve financial targets.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Ops on pricing, commercial models, new product economics, and scaling initiatives.
- Lead business cases for new initiatives, partnerships, and capital allocation decisions.
- Implement and enhance BI tools and dashboards to automate reporting and real-time tracking.
- Prepare high-quality board decks, investor updates, and CXO-level presentations.
What matters in this role -
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A;, Business Finance, or Strategic Finance.
- CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.
- Strong analytical toolkit; familiarity with BI tools or SQL is a plus
- Strong preference for candidates with startup or high-growth tech/fintech experience.
- Exceptional financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills;
- High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias for action
