Job Description

  • The candidate will be part of the Bangalore FP&A Team which is an extension of the Group FP&A team, London.
  • The role is an essential part of the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A) for Dentsu Group Inc (DGI). The mission for this team is to partner with the business to influence strategic decisions through accurate financial planning and insightful data driven analysis.
  • The role will focus on brilliant basics to deliver actionable insight on business performance to a variety of key internal stakeholders (DGI Executive, DGI Board, Group CFO etc)
  • Leadership in FP&A by supporting delivery of projects to improve the quality of forecasting across the Global business through close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Drive transformation of the business by supporting workstreams which underpin the transition to our new business model.
  • The Group FP&A team is focused on high quality financial analysis and reporting, whilst driving continuous improvement of internal team processes to allow more time for value-add analysis.
  • The role requires an individual who will bring energy and drive to this dynamic, diverse, and highly acquisitive company.
  • Confidence in modelling significant volumes of data will be key to this role, and so advanced excel skills are a must.
  • Having some experience in data visualization tools such as SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC stories) and SAP BPC would be an added advantage.
  • Good review and stakeholder management skillset.
  • Also important is a commercial mindset to interpret the insights gathered along with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written / presentational format.

Job Description:


  • Managing and reviewing all the BAU activities within Group FP&A team.
  • Working on Management reports and ensuring data is shared timely and accurately.
  • Maintaining and monitoring monthly reporting plan for the wider FP&A teams.
  • Deliver financial information and analysis to management, business operations, providing timely, sound, and clear financial analysis of current results and insights on impacts to future performance.
  • Ensure that all internal monthly Actuals reporting, annual Budgeting and quarterly Forecasting is delivered in a timely and accurate way (P&L and Balance Sheet), balancing speed, efficiency, and quality.
  • Summarise the financial trends across businesses, geographies, brands and capabilities into Board level executive summaries.
  • Anticipate internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues and recommend how the business should prepare.
  • Maintain a robust FP&A environment that adheres to the Dentsu Group policies and embeds best practice across the business.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required by the Global teams, including the Dentsu Exec, Business Operations, Service Lines, HR, Operational Finance.

Professional Skills


  • Accountant with 9-11 years of experience in FP&A, Analytics, MIS and Management Reporting in a fast paced, ambitious and multinational environment.
  • Strong advanced excel skills, passion for data crunching and analysis is a must.
  • Good reviewing and attention to detail skills.
  • Should have a prior experience in team handling and management.
  • Knowledge of SAP BPC/SAC and Media or Digital sectors will be an advantage.
  • Be an active part of the GFP&A team, support the development of a professional & high performing function.
