Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Manager - FP & A to lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role is essential for driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support key business decisions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely completion and submission of MIS and quarterly/annual Financial results/statements while conducting trend analysis and investigating significant variances.
  • Lead the finance team for financial statement closure, preparation of deliverables for reporting and meetings, and liaising with various internal and external auditors to ensure smooth closure.
  • Lead the budgeting and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) building process along with monthly reviews of actuals vs. budget.
  • Be responsible for the ongoing accounting, reconciliation, and analytical activities, such as approving bank reconciliations and ensuring journal entry (JE) reconciliations.
  • Be responsible for the implementation and adherence to ICOFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) compliance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for building efficiency in the business processes, accounting, and reporting functions.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management. This includes providing recommendations based on data analysis and following through with business leaders on actionable items for improving metrics.
  • Drive the automation of reporting and demonstrate familiarity with Business Intelligence tools.

Skills Required

  • Expertise in financial reporting and analysis, including MIS and financial statements.
  • Proven experience in leading budgeting and forecasting (AOP) processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ICOFR compliance.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience with reporting automation and Business Intelligence tools.
