Job Description
As a FP&A Product Reporting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decision-making for our products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets. Responsibilities/What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of product performance, including revenue, cost, and profitability, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports and dashboards, providing real-time visibility into product performance metrics and KPIs.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the creation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for products, collaborating with business units to align financial goals and objectives.
- Variance Analysis: Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying and explaining key drivers of variance and proposing corrective actions.
- Scenario Modelling: Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making, such as pricing strategies, market expansion, and investment opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Pricing Team and Operations teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and provide financial insights that contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis to address specific business inquiries, such as evaluating the financial impact of new product launches or pricing strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify process improvements in data collection, analysis methodologies, and reporting to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of product financial reporting.
Qualifications
- CA/ MBA Finance with 4-6 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with a focus on Product Reporting and Analysis.
- Proficient with Salesforce, Adaptive, Netsuite, Tableau, SQL and/ or other comparable systems.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, Advanced Excel/ PPT Skills, and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
