Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group and relevant sub-groups.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments and other schedules required for financial reporting.
  • Liaise with subsidiaries finance teams to obtain reporting packages and supporting information and ensure timely submission for Group consolidation.
  • Ensure financial reporting is prepared in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Support the preparation of SGX announcements, interim financial statements, annual reports and other statutory reporting requirements, where applicable.
  • Coordinate external audit activities relating to Group reporting, including preparing audit schedules, addressing audit queries and ensuring timely completion of the audit process.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the Group, providing practical accounting guidance where required.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting processes, internal controls and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and data quality.
  • Support finance-related projects, including system implementation, reporting enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Prepare financial analysis, Board papers and management reports to support senior management's decision-making.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties and projects assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accountancy/Banking, ACCA or equivalent.
  • CPA/ CIMA candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Group Financial Reporting, Consolidation or External Audit.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, commodities business would be a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient bilingual written and verbal communication skills as one needs to manage our English and Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Group Consolidation and statutory financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience in preparing SGX financial announcements and annual reports would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiar with SAP systems would be an advantage.
