Position Overview

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant to drive the Business Finance function for the Branded Content vertical. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations with a strong focus on revenue assurance, cost provisioning, and MIS reporting. The incumbent will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely closures, and actionable insights that support business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Assurance – Branded Content

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue from branded content deals across campaigns.

• Reconcile revenue across contracts, media plans, billing systems, and finance records.

• Track unbilled revenue, milestone-based billing, and deferred revenue.

• Identify revenue leakages, delays, and discrepancies, and drive resolution with Sales and Operations teams.

• Support monthly revenue closure and reporting in line with accounting standards.

2. Cost Provisioning & Campaign Cost Tracking

• Prepare and maintain cost provisions for branded content campaigns (production, talent, agency, media, and platform costs).

•Track actual costs versus provisions and perform detailed variance analysis.

• Partner with content, production, procurement, and operations teams for accurate cost estimation.

• Ensure timely true-ups and reversals of provisions during financial closure cycles.

3. Event Profitability & MIS

• Drive post-event actualization and profitability analysis at a campaign level.

• Prepare detailed MIS reports by event, client, brand, and platform.

• Monitor contribution margins and overall event profitability.

• Maintain cost trackers and dashboards to track budget utilization and financial performance.

• Support management reviews with accurate, insight-driven analysis.

4. Financial & Performance MIS

• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports covering revenue, costs, margins, and key business KPIs.

• Support creation of management decks for branded content performance reviews.

• Drive improvements in MIS automation, data accuracy, and reporting timelines.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.

5. Controls, Compliance & Audit Support

• Maintain robust documentation for all revenue and cost-related entries.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, approval workflows, and accounting policies.

• Support internal and statutory audits related to revenue recognition and cost reporting.

6. Stakeholder Coordination & Business Partnering

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Branded Content, Production, Operations, and Finance teams.

• Act as the finance SPOC for campaign-level revenue and cost-related queries.

• Support senior finance stakeholders in business reviews, planning, and performance tracking.

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.

• Fresher CA with articleship experience in audit is required.

• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and accrual accounting.

• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).

• Advanced MS Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is an added advantage.
