Job Description

Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Assistant Finance Manager

Location: Mumbai, India (Office-based, 5.5 days a week)

Salary: INR 10-12 LPA + Incentives

Start date – Feb 2026

We are an emerging luxury resort operator and real estate developer based in Maharashtra, focused on revolutionising the hospitality & real estate sector with world-class eco-resorts and luxury villas. As we scale our operations and finance functions, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance team. Key Responsibilities:

As a Chartered Accountant in our finance team, you will be entrusted with critical functions that support the company's growth and financial health. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  1. Closure of Books:
  2. Manage and ensure timely and accurate closure of the company's books of accounts on a monthly and annual basis.
  3. Compliance with GAAP (Local):
  4. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) both in India and internationally, ensuring that financial practices align with regulations.
  5. Preparation of MIS:
  6. Prepare and review Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, providing insights and recommendations for business decision-making.
  7. Regulatory Compliance:
  8. Oversee and ensure compliance with key regulations including the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other indirect taxes.
  9. Stakeholder Interaction:
  10. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the finance director, legal team, and company secretary, as well as external stakeholders such as auditors, bankers, and solicitors.
  11. Process Improvement:
  12. Identify areas for process improvements and bring efficiencies in existing financial systems and practices.
  13. Consolidation of Accounts:
  14. Manage the consolidation of financial statements across the company and subsidiaries, if applicable.
  15. Financial Planning & Analysis:
  16. Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic financial planning. You will analyse actual performance vs. plan, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to support pricing, cost control, and growth initiatives across the resort. They will also support capex planning, scenario modelling for new experiences or expansions, and the development of management dashboards that track both financial and operational performance for leadership and investors.
  17. Mentorship & Coaching:
  18. Mentor and guide junior and senior accountants, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  19. Preparation of Financial Statements:
  20. Assist in the preparation and presentation of the company's financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  21. General Finance Support:
  22. Assist in various other finance-related activities and projects as needed, working closely with other departments.
  23. Willingness to travel:
  24.  This role requires travel of approximately 30–40% of the time, as needed, to our hotels and construction sites based on business requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Educational Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience or completed articleship from a Big 5 firm.
  • Experience: Solid background in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, ideally with exposure to healthcare or startup environments.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Deep understanding of Indian GAAP, Income Tax Act, Companies Act, and indirect tax regulations.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable insights from financial data.
  • Proficiency in Financial Software: Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (Zoho books), along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and senior management.
