Job Description

The purpose of this role is to deliver key tasks in relation to financial reporting, control and analysis collaboratively at a global DI level, supporting an appropriate control and compliance environment in line with Group policy and IFRS, and contributing to insightful, high quality financial reporting to key stakeholders.

  • The individual in this role will work closely with Group Finance Reporting & Controls team based out of London Headquarters and provide specific expertise in relation to certain key areas, potentially including consolidation accounting; IFRS technical expertise; report preparation / drafting; KPI, trend and variance analysis.
  • The role will form part of the Group Finance team for Dentsu International, and it is essential to support the Financial Reporting and Control agenda across the globe
  • The role will also have a focus on identifying and building efficiencies and improvements through automation / data analytics / dashboarding.

Job Description:


  • Deliver to high standards, specific consolidation, control, reporting, and / or analysis tasks, that support the preparation of statutory and management reporting to Dentsu Inc. to a high quality and on a timely basis.
  • Work extensively on BPC (DI's consolidation tool) to provide accurate and reliable reporting outputs.
  • Support the monthly reporting process which includes accurate reporting of the Cashflow, Balance Sheet and Interco balances in BPC.
  • Support compliance with DI policies on financial reporting, working independently through analysis & review of monthly / quarterly reported financials in assigned area in DI Group consolidation as per the scheduled deadlines. This may include one or more of
  • Business Combination Purchased Intangibles Consolidation
  • Non-Controlling Interest Consolidation
  • Equity and Investment Consolidation
  • IFRS & additional notes to accounts
  • Identify potential deviations from policies on financial reporting and follow up on them before deadlines.
  • Challenge markets on appropriate use of account lines, account flows etc. Post elimination / adjustment journals as required, if any.
  • Provide guidance to local markets / Regional teams on their queries relating to assigned task areas.
  • Prepare and manage Additional/IFRS packs, interim/annual IFRS Financial Statements, schedules and notes to accounts.
  • Apply relevant training, knowledge, and experience within the context provided and guide markets and regional team on relevant professional and technical standards in making informed decisions
  • Identify & undertake process improvement initiatives & contribute to overall goal of accelerated reporting through automations and maintenance of the group's consolidation system
  • Undertake and deliver on other ad-hoc areas, as required by management.
  • Interact with stake holders to understand requirements, set expectations, address concerns, and discuss them with reporting manager.

Professional Skills


  • CA/ACCA or equivalent qualification with 5-7 years or Accounting Graduate/Postgraduate with 8-11 of experience in accounting & reporting who will bring energy and expertise to this dynamic and diverse company.
  • They will need to provide guidance and support to the local Finance teams, the regional Finance teams, and work collaboratively with the Group Finance Reporting and Controls team
  • Advanced MS Excel user, proficient with MS word & PowerPoint skills
  • Exposure to SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) would be an added advantage.
