Role Description
To oversee and manage facility operations within the factory by ensuring safe, efficient and reliable functioning of infrastructure, utilities and support services.
The role focuses on maintaining compliance, managing vendors and providing a well maintained environment to enable uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of factory buildings, utilities and infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air and water systems.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, preventive maintenance and facility upgrade to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations, and conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Implement and monitor workplace safety programs, emergency preparedness plans and fire protection systems.
- Manage external vendors and service providers for housekeeping, security, waste management, ETP, laundry, catering, plumbing and other facility services.
- Verify vendor services and manpower deployment, process Pos and clear invoices through ERP systems.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor service quality and drive cost control and operational efficiency.
- Maintain proper documentation, reports and records related to facility operations, maintenance, and compliance.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility management, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, utilities management and plant infrastructure maintenance.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance, safety norms and EHS requirements.
- Vendor management, negotiation and cost control skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize issues and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
