Job Description Position Title, Responsibility Level Assistant Manager Function F&A GL Reports to Manager Permanent/ Temporary Permanent Span of Control I C Location Noida C42a Basic Function Preparation & review of reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close activities Subject Matter Expert in General Accounting, Expense Allocations, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Reconciliations, etc Preparation & review of process documentation, ad hoc reports Essential Functions Requires the knowledge and ability to prepare and review Journals and Reconciliations, investigate problems, and organize projects Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience and US GAAP and IFRS knowledge preferred. Ability to understand the significance of various activities in statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly. Primary Internal Interactions Manager for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, and seeking feedback and support Manager for the purpose of settling issues left unresolved by the Assistant Manager and monthly evaluation of performance Peers (team members) for the purpose of seeking co-operation & clarification on process-related matters & aiding and support when required Primary External Interactions Onshore Team Manager and SMEs for daily planning of work and execution of deliverables Must demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills Strong time management and organization skills Organizational Relationships Reports To: Manager 154552 Supervises: NIL Skills Technical Skills Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 3-5 years experience.

  • Com with strong practical experience in reporting for more than 6-8 years. Process Specific Skills Should have good understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures. Requires the knowledge and ability to prepare Journals, Reconciliations, and related reports, investigate problems and organize projects Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience or US GAAP/IFRS knowledge preferred. Ability to understand the significance of various activities in a statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly. Soft skills (Desired) Must demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills Strong time management and organization skills Soft Skills (Minimum) Self-disciplined and result oriented Ability to multitask Ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment and drive for results Strong analytical skills Ability to understand and question established process guidelines to bring about process improvements Ability to pay great mindfulness especially during processing of transactions Education Requirements Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 3-5 years experience.
  • Com with strong practical experience in reporting for more than 6 - 8 years Work Experience Requirements 4-8 years of experience in technical accounting or reporting area preferably with an insurance company. Should have good understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
