Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the electrical engineering design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for thermal power projects ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall project framework.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to safety codes and regulations.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships by evaluating technical proposals, conducting due diligence, and ensuring adherence to quality and timelines.
- Drive the implementation of electrical safety protocols and preventive maintenance practices to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
- Monitor project progress and electrical system performance through regular site inspections, audits, and reporting, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues during construction and operation phases, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and Adani's internal policies and standards related to electrical engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing aligned with Adani's culture of continuous learning and empowerment.
- Participate in cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement planning to optimize resource utilization and control project costs.
- Champion innovative electrical engineering practices and emerging technologies to improve system efficiency and support Adani's sustainability goals.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation, progress reports, and compliance records for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a key interface with regulatory authorities and external consultants during audits and inspections.
- Promote a culture of safety, ethics, and teamwork within the electrical engineering department consistent with Adani's core values.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized university. - A Master's degree or higher qualification is an added advantage.
4-11 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering within the thermal power or related heavy industrial projects.
