Responsibilities
- Draft, review, redline, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (NDAs, license agreements, vendor services, MSAs, SOWs, lease agreements, etc.)
- Drive the full contract lifecycle, ensuring timely closure and compliance with client requirements
- Engage directly with counterparties to negotiate contractual provisions
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to resolve queries and ensure accuracy (99-100%)
- Provide clear, concise client communications (emails, calls, documentation)
- Support harmonization of templates and development of negotiation playbooks
- Manage project files, track time accurately, and escalate issues promptly
- Contribute to technology and process solutions for client projects
- Act as a team player, assisting colleagues and fostering collaboration
What will help you succeed in this role
Essential
- Law graduate with 5+ years of experience in contract management (law firm or in-house counsel preferred)
- Proven expertise in reviewing, redlining, and negotiating diverse commercial contracts
- Strong legal knowledge, process orientation, and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and deliver client-ready work independently
Desirable
- Experience in pharmaceutical, publishing, or software licensing contracts
- Superior research and data management skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word redlining/track changes and other contract management tools
- Business acumen and client management experience
- Commitment to continuous learning, certifications, and leadership development
