Job Title: Assistant Manager Direct Taxation
Location: Mumbai (CSMT Office)
Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
TDS Compliance
- TDS reconciliation prior to due date and TDS payment to be done on due date
- Preparing TDS reconciliation statement and summary of remittance before the due date of payment
- Ensuring the payment of TDS is made on or before the due date
- Preparing detailed summary quarter wise to be submitted to consultant for filing of quarterly TDS return and ensuring the returns are filed on or before due date
- Continuously tracking the status of TDS returns filed and taking timely action in case any demand arises in coordination with the consultant
- Working of LDC done on monthly basis to keep a check if the amount is over utilized in SAP.
- Monthly check on LDC rates with the Lower deduction certificate submitted
- Replying to notices received from TDS circle in a timely manner
Statutory Compliance
- Handling payment of direct taxes including TDS
- Filling income tax return form in prescribed ITR of all entities handled
- Assisting in working of direct tax provision
- Assisting in collating information and filling of various statutory forms such as Tax Audit Report, Form 67, Country-by-country-report, forms related to Charitable Institutions under guidance
- Reconciliation of TDS credit (per Form 26AS) against realized income in accordance with official guidelines.
Litigation
- Handling notices received u/s. 133(6) of I T Act - Coordinating and collating details from other departments, preparing reply and filing with income tax department.
- Collating necessary information for submission in assessments, appeals, etc. as and when required
- Collating information for filing appeals
- E-filing replies on the income tax portal and offline, as required
Experience and Qualification Details:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in handling and assisting direct tax matters
- CA Inter or Graduate (knowledge of SAP Finance module is an added advantage)
