Position Overview
The Corporate Development Assistant Manager will participate in all aspects of the inorganic growth strategy of the company, including identifying potential acquisition opportunities, creating financial models, assisting in execution of M&A transactions, conducting market research and due diligence, analyzing potential acquisitions and divestitures, and coordinating activities with both internal constituents and external advisers.
Responsibilities
Lead target search activity, and maintain database of potential targets and investment bankers to ensure they are current
Lead and/or support execution of M&A transactions
Build financial models to analyze potential transactions
Collaborate with executive management, business development, delivery and enabling function professionals within the company in both target prospecting and transaction execution
Create presentations for review of potential transactions and other internal documents for reporting to executive management, the Board of Directors and private equity sponsors
Required Skills
4 6 years of M&A experience, with a specific record of accomplishment of buyside deals, including coordinating due diligence and financial modeling
Ability to understand business model drivers and identify potential risks/problem areas
Must possess a strong work ethic and an ability to work autonomously, and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent financial modeling skills using Excel with substantive experience developing and managing complex models
Familiarity with M&A processes, documentation and artifacts
Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with multiple internal and external particpants, and multi-task without losing track of various workstreams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems
Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
Proclivity for upholding the highest standards of integrity and ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
Willingness to maintain a schedule that has sufficient overlap with U.S. Eastern Time
