Team Leader / Assistant Manager Environmental Compliance & Consultancy

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Team Leader / Assistant Manager to oversee and manage our Environmental Compliance & Consultancy operations. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in team management, client coordination, escalation handling, and hands-on experience in filing CTE (Consent to Establish) and CTO (Consent to Operate) applications with pollution control authorities.

Key Responsibilities1. Team Management & Leadership
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of executives to ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
  • Allocate work based on team capacity, track performance, and conduct periodic team reviews.
  • Provide guidance to team members, address internal issues, and maintain smooth operational workflow.
2. Client Coordination & Consultancy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking compliance and consultancy support.
  • Understand client requirements, provide expert guidance on environmental regulations, and assist them throughout the compliance process.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular follow-ups and proactive communication.
3. Escalation Handling
  • Manage and resolve client or internal escalations with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ensure timely closure of issues with clear communication and effective problem-solving.
4. Regulatory Filing & Documentation
  • Prepare, verify, and file CTE/CTO applications on respective pollution control board portals.
  • Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance of all submitted documents.
  • Coordinate with government authorities for updates, clarifications, queries, and inspection-related requirements.
5. Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare and maintain trackers, dashboards, and status reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure efficient service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or relevant field.
  • 25+ years of experience in environmental consultancy, compliance operations, or related domains.
  • Proven experience in team handling and leadership roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in preparing and filing CTE/CTO applications.
  • Excellent communication, client coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in managing escalations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and online regulatory portals.
