Job Title - L2 – Asst. Manager ( DDoS Security and Engineering)
Experience
5 years of hands-on experience managing DDoS mitigation devices
Strong Experience With Arbor Edge Defense (AED 8200) Preferred
Education : Graduation in any discipline
Certification : CEH/ Any FW or any Network certification.
Location : Kolkata
Shift – 9x6 (General Shift)
Role Overview
The L2 Engineer will handle advanced DDoS analysis, mitigation actions, device management, and maintenance, while supporting L1 engineers and ensuring platform stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of DDoS alerts and traffic patterns.
- Execute advanced mitigation techniques and tuning on AED 8200.
- Perform regular health checks and performance optimization.
- Plan and execute firmware/version upgrades with rollback plans.
- Deploy and validate signature and policy updates.
- Identify and remediate device-related vulnerabilities.
- Support VA/PT activities and audit requirements.
- Guide and mentor L1 engineers during incidents.
- Coordinate with OEM/vendor for escalations and troubleshooting.
- Prepare SLA and RCA reports and monthly operational reports.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong expertise in Arbor Edge Defense (AED 8200).
- Deep understanding of network protocols and DDoS mitigation strategies.
- Experience in firmware upgrades, vulnerability management, and change control.
- Ability to handle incidents independently and under pressure.
