Role Overview
The Assistant Manager Business HR will act as a key HR partner for the plant/operations team, ensuring smooth execution of core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement, payroll coordination, and L&D initiatives. The role requires a hands-on HR professional with prior experience in the manufacturing industry, capable of managing workforce dynamics in a plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:1. Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordination
- Manage end-to-end recruitment coordination for plant roles (blue-collar & white-collar)
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements
- Coordinate with consultants/vendors for sourcing candidates
- Schedule interviews, track candidate status, and ensure timely closures
- Maintain recruitment trackers, reports, and dashboards
- Learning & Development (L&D)
- Identify training needs in collaboration with business/plant managers
- Coordinate internal and external training programs
- Ensure execution of induction and onboarding training for new hires
- Track training effectiveness and maintain training records
- Support skill development initiatives for shop-floor employees
- Attendance & Payroll Coordination
- Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and shift schedules
- Coordinate with payroll team/vendors for accurate salary processing
- Validate attendance inputs, overtime, and statutory deductions
- Address employee queries related to salary, attendance, and leave
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory norms
- Employee Engagement & Relations
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities at plant level
- Drive initiatives for employee motivation, retention, and morale
- Act as a point of contact for employee grievances and concerns
- Support disciplinary processes in line with company policies
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain employee records and documentation
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures
- Support audits and statutory compliance (especially relevant in manufacturing setups)
- Assist in performance management cycles and HR reporting
Key Requirements:Educational Qualification:
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources (Mandatory)
Experience
- 45 years of HR experience
- Must have hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry (mandatory)
- Exposure to plant HR operations is highly preferred
