The Assistant Manager Accounts Receivable will oversee Accounts Receivable operations for Traveazy Group, ensuring timely collections from B2B and B2C customers in the travel and tourism sector. The role involves managing billing, reconciliations, and customer accounts, while supporting the optimization of cash flow. The position requires strong financial discipline, leadership, and the ability to liaise with clients, travel partners, and internal teams across operations and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Oversee invoicing for B2B travel agents, partners, and direct customers.
- Ensure timely collection of payments to maintain positive cash flow.
- Monitor AR aging and follow up proactively on overdue accounts.
- Handle disputes, chargebacks, and reconciliation of accounts.
Process & Compliance
- Ensure AR transactions comply with IFRS, UAE VAT, and internal audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate AR reporting.
- Implement best practices in AR to improve efficiency and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly/monthly AR reports and collection forecasts for management.
- Track KPIs on receivables, bad debts, and customer credit limits.
- Provide insights to management on collection risks and customer trends.
- Insurance Reporting Turnover / Overdue / Claim if any.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve payment/billing disputes.
- Build strong relationships with travel agents, suppliers, and corporate clients to ensure timely collections.
- Support finance leadership in negotiations related to credit terms and payment schedules.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 58 years of AR experience, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or a similar service industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (Tally / Zoho Books) and UAE / KSA VAT compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with clients and stakeholders.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex reconciliation issues.
