Job Description

  • Day-to-Day Execution: Supports general ledger processes and assists clients in understanding accounting procedures.
  • Accounting Functions: Handles account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and resolving discrepancies.

Candidate Profile

  • Education:
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related major (no work experience required)
  • OR 2-year degree in Finance or Accounting (with 2 years of related professional experience)

Core Work Activities

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Implements and follows up on Accounting SOP audits.
  • Complies with fraud and collection regulations.
  • Analyzes data, evaluates results, and provides reports/presentations.
  • Balances credit card ledgers and verifies contracts.
  • Performs credit reference checks for direct-billed groups if needed.

Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals

  • Achieves/exceeds performance, budget, and team goals.
  • Develops and organizes work priorities and plans.
  • Submits reports on time to meet deadlines.
  • Ensures accuracy in documenting profits and losses.
  • Monitors taxes, ensuring they are current and accurately collected/accrued.
  • Safeguards assets through strong operational controls.

Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge

  • Demonstrates proficiency in relevant systems, processes, and issues.
  • Knowledgeable in return check procedures, Gross Revenue Report, write-off procedures, and consolidated deposit procedures.
  • Applies technical skills and updates knowledge continually.
  • Uses computers for financial tasks, data entry, and process information.

Leading Accounting Teams

  • Leads by example, motivating and encouraging others in the team.
  • Delegates tasks and sets deadlines.
  • Creates a productive work environment and manages team satisfaction.
  • Adapts to a diverse work culture and manages team quality processes.

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

  • Supports employee development and training.
  • Provides coaching and counseling, especially in accounts receivable posting.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides information to supervisors and peers through various communication channels.
  • Demonstrates integrity, effective listening, and enthusiasm.
  • Manages time well, organizes tasks, and resolves conflicts effectively.
  • Updates team on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Handles collections calls as necessary.
